Droo-ro 2004 - Day 6
Don't worry I haven't forgotten!!
Yesterdays reuslts were as follows:
Group A:
Hobnob 7-0 Malted Milk
Bourbon 3-4 Shortbread
Todays fixtures are back in Group B:
Rich Tea v Garibaldi
Fig Roll v Wagon Wheel
Just to settle the "Abbey Crunch Situation" (as Glenn would call it)...I feel that the Abbey Crunch should remain...if it is popular enough to go a long way then it may prompt the foolish mortals at the biccy company to bring it out of retirement....OK with everyone (I'm a very friendly dictator!!)
Now go and vote peasants!!

Another vote for Rich Tea and Fig Roll from me. I seem to have a liking for the simpler biscuits.
I apear to have not voted yesterday. Just for the record, I'd have gone for Malted Milk and Bourbon. I wonder if I'll rue my lack of a Bourbon vote in the next round...

Wagon Wheels are always an exciting propspect, but somewhat disappointing when you actually eat them. And they're smaller than they used to be (they really are, it's not just because we're bigger).

Rich Tea... chocolate v fruit is how I understand this battle. You are going to go for the chocolate. If there was no chocolate rich tea I would probably go with the garibaldi, but there is and so rich tea it must be.
Fig rolls and wagon wheels both fail in their soggyness. I also feel that the wagon wheel often fails to meet it's build up (due to soggyness and smaller amounts of chocolate than you had remembered) and hence I am going to go with the fig roll. It is a classic biscuit that is always as good as you remember it.
So rich tea and fig roll.

Rich Tea?! Are you all mad?! They're only good for one dunk and taste like cardboard! Fig roll V's Waggon Wheel...hmmm, the first really tough choice! Ok yep, I'm going for Garibaldi and Fig Roll.
