Droo-ro 2004 - Day 2
Thanks to everyone who voted yesterday...unfortunately, probably due to my accidental double post or just a Blogger error, it looks like three votes may have gone missing. I can only apologise and hope, rather than promise, that it won't happen again.
The results for the first set of matches in Group A were:
HOBNOB 1-2 SHORTBREAD
BOURBON 2-1 MALTED MILK
Todays matches are the first set for Group B so we need your votes on the following:
RICH TEA v WAGON WHEEL
FIG ROLL v GARIBALDI
Results and next fixtures at about the same time tomorrow (fingers crossed!!)
7 Comments:
It's got to be a comfortable win for the Wagon Wheel in the first match and then in the second I'll take Garibaldi to just nick it in injury time.

Rich tea (if they're Rich Tea Fingers or those round ones with chocolate on them) and Fig Roll.
Grumble grumble, I reckon there's a biscuit conspiracy going on here with Walkers shortbread and Blog O' The North since my Hobnob vote yesterday was mysteriously consumed without even leaving a single delicious, nutty, oaty crumb.

I hope my vote doesn't get lost!!!
Rich tea is boring as, add chocolate edges towards a point from me, wagon wheel covered with chocolate...gotta be the winner, however a bit soggy, so I have to go with the rich tea, only for is chocolate covered variety and its dip-ability.
The fig roll suffers in it's slightly soggy texture, however I was never a true fan of the garibaldi, so for nostalgic reasons alone probably (because my gran gave me them, not because of their constipations relieving values) I'll have to go with the good old fig roll.

Wagon Wheel, Fig Roll.

I posted an incredibly long and, frankly, genius explanation for my choices yesterday, but Blogger lost it. So, today, I'm going for Chris-like brevity.
Rich Tea. Fig Roll.
(Incidentally, had all 7 votes yesterday been counted, the results for the first set of matches in Group A woulh have been:
HOBNOB 4-3 SHORTBREAD
BOURBON 3-4 MALTED MILK
We was robbed. Is Andrew Swiss?)

Re: MikeIt would have been:
HobNobs 4 - 3 ShortbreadBourbon 4 - 3 Malted Milk… go check because the missing comments on yesterdays opening game have magically appeared today. Now where's the referee when you need him?

The last vote is time stamped well before Andrew announced the result. Still, it's Andrew's game, so it's up to him...
