Droo-rovision 2004 - Day Three

Yesterdays results were:

Group B:
ROLLING STONES 3-2 U2
AEROSMITH 4-1 REM


Todays fixtures are:
Group C:
THE BEATLES v OASIS
BARENAKED LADIES v COLDPLAY


I'm guessing Andrew will let you know when he is putting the next one on, I'm guessing by 9 in the morning but he is finished quite early tomorrow so maybe tomorrow night... or I may be given delegated responsibility.... who can say.

  • The Beatles beat Oasis just because. Well OK it's like Big Brother this I know my answer but can't really say why. I guess the Beatles have many more songs that I like that Oasis. Oasis are great too, but Liam is an irritating ****.

    I am only slightly bothered by Coldplay and Barenaked Ladies. Now Barenaked ladies were not in my top 20 I don't think. this is not becasue i don't like them but because if I had to pick an album to put on I would go for Coldplay over them. However Barenaked ladies are pretty stagnant in there position but Coldplay are kind of falling a bit. I'd probably marginally still give it to Coldplay but can't guarantee my answer would be the sam in a year or so.

    So Coldplay and The Beatles.

  • Once again, I am bound by my top twenty list. The Beatles are going to have to lose out to Oasis on account of Oasis being louder and singing about Cigarettes and Alcohol. "She's feeling supersonic, she's into gin and tonic"; c'mon, how can you beat that? "Hey, Jude"? I don't think so.

    In the second fixture, Barenaked Ladies quite simply kick Coldplay's arse. Any band who can sing songs about suicide, death, break-ins and monkeys deserve my vote, and yours!

  • OK...anyone who knows me knows that I'm going to vote for the beatles...I could list hundreds of songs!! I do love Oasis though so they may get my vote against other bands.

    Match two I have to go for the ladies....I've liked quite a lot of what Coldplay have released but BNL are just fabbo...even better live!!
